All Six NAC Field Hockey Programs Receive NFHCA Honors

13 NAC Field Hockey Student-Athletes Honored as NFHCA Scholars of Distinction

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) released the 2016 ZAG Field Hockey / NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction and 13 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) student-athletes were honored.

The honorees from the NAC include Castleton's Mariah LinnettMegan Ryan and Sarah Wells, University of Maine at Farmington's Makayla FrostLeeAnne GreenleafEmily LewiaTorrie NightingalePatty Smith and Andrea Stemm, Husson's Libby Kain and Sadie Royer, New England College's Brittany Tierney, and Thomas' Kathryn Taylor.

The 13 NAC student-athletes were among only 209 Division III student-athletes that received the award. The DIII Scholars of Distinction recognizes those student-athletes that achieved a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.90 or higher during the first semester of the 2016-17academic year. 

 


 

58 NAC Field Hockey Student-Athletes Named to NFHCA National Academic Squad

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) released the 2016 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad and 58 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) field hockey student-athletes were honored.

Castleton, Colby-SawyerUniversity of Maine at FarmingtonHussonNew England College and Thomas all had student-athletes receive the national award. The National Academic Squad recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2016-17 academic year.

Four NAC Field Hockey Programs Honored with NFHCA National Academic Team Award

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) released the 2016 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III National Academic Team Award and four North Atlantic Conference (NAC) member institutions were honored.

CastletonUniversity of Maine at FarmingtonHusson, and Thomas were among only 125 Division III institutions that received the national award. The National Academic Team Award recognizes those institutions that achieved a minimum team grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher during the first semester of the 2016-17 academic year.
