Lowell had a career year after turning in an impressive junior campaign. In 2016, she notched 12 goals and 28 total points to tie for fourth in the conference in both categories. One-upping herself and backing up her NAC recognition from last year, Lowell led with a team-high and conference-high 17 goals and 38 total points in 2017. The forward also recorded a couple of hat tricks, scoring three goals in wins over Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Wells College.
In conference play, Lowell notched a goal in four of the team's five NAC contests, while also recording a perfect clip in penalty strokes (2-for-2). During the Spartans 3-1 win against Colby-Sawyer, the senior forward scored the game-tying goal off a penalty stroke in the 52nd minute to propel the Spartans offense. In non-league action, she racked up 12 scores and assisted on three others to help set the offensive pace for Castleton.
Wrapping up her impressive 2017 slate, Lowell garnered NAC Player of the Year honors and a place on the conference's first team. Following the recognition, the senior continued to lead the team, scoring late to pull the squad within one in the team's conference championship semifinal loss to the University of Maine at Farmington.
