Husson's Worcester Tabbed NEWBA Player of the Week
Husson junior guard Kenzie Worcester (Washburn, Maine) has been named the Presto Sports New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Player of the Week, while also claiming North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Player of the Week Honors.

Worcester averaged 29 points per game on 50 percent (14-of-28) shooting from the field and 85.7 percent (30-of-35) from the free throw line in a 2-0 week for the Eagles. Worcester also contributed 5.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game. In Wednesday's 76-63 victory over Southern Maine, she scored 22 points to go with five assists, five boards and three steals. Worcester followed that up with 29 points, six rebounds, two assists and one block in a 69-61 triumph at Maine Maritime on Saturday. Against the Mariners, Worcester surpassed the 1,000-point milestone for her career and set a single-game program record for free throws made with 20.
The Eagles return to court on Tuesday, January 9, at UMaine-Farmington with a 5:30 p.m. tip.
