Worcester Tabbed to NEWBA All-Region Third Team
The New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) announced its award winners and All-Region selections on Tuesday afternoon and Husson junior Kenzie Worcester (Washburn, Maine) has been selected to the NEWBA All-Region third team.

Worcester becomes the third player in program history to earn a spot on one of the All-Region teams. Worcester lead the Eagles' in every category accept for rebounds and blocks. As a junior, she has surpassed the 1,000-career point mark and currently sits at 1,355 points. She is the fastest player in the women's program history to score 400 points in a single season, while surpassing the 500 point-mark. She is one of three players in the nation to make 20 free throws in a single-game this season, most in a game in program history. She leads the NAC in Field Goals and Free Throws made. Also, the Washburn, Maine native is averaging 18.6 points per game, which is ranked 40th in the nation. As a point guard, her FG% is 47.9% and 39.7% from 3-point range. In January, she was selected as NAC, State of Maine, and New England (NEWBA) Player of the Week.
