Colby-Sawyer Women's Tennis Ranked in Northeast Region; Woodside & Yang Earn Doubles Ranking
The Colby-Sawyer women's tennis team has earned a spot in the top-20 of the Northeast Region, according to the latest Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III rankings.
The Chargers (14-5, 7-0 NAC) landed in the 20th position out of 103 teams that compile the Northeast Region. Colby-Sawyer will play at Division II Saint Anselm later today and then play at Smith on April 18 to conclude the 2017-18 regular season. The Chargers won their sixth-straight conference title in the fall and earned the program's seventh trip to the NCAA Tournament, which will occur in May.

In addition, senior Ashley Woodside (Hampden, Maine) and freshman Yashu Yang (Kunming City, China) were tabbed the No. 15th ranked doubles team in the Northeast Region. The duo is 18-4 at the top flight and have feature wins over teams from Division I Holy Cross, Nichols, Johnson & Wales, MIT, Wisconsin-La Crosse, Colby and Wheaton.
