MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY

Runner of the Week

John Hassett, Maine Maritime Academy
Sophomore - Castine, Maine


Hassett took the top spot in Saturday's UMPI Invitational, outpacing more than forty runners from conference foes Thomas, UMaine-Farmington, and UMaine-Presque Isle. Hassett completed the 6K course with a time of 19:54.0, nearly thirty seconds ahead of the field. The Mariners won the event for the second-consecutive year. 

 

  


Rookie of the Week

Aiden Berlinski, SUNY Delhi
First-year - Unionville, New York


Berlinski's debut with the Broncos was impressive, as he won the Dick Daymont Season Opener, a 4K dual meet with Hartwick College. Berlinski led a 1-2-3 Broncos finish with a time of 13:53.1.  Delhi defeated Hartwick, 17-46.

 

 

 

 

 

WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY

Runner of the Week

Katie LeBlanc, UMaine-Farmington
Senior - Saco, Maine


LeBlanc took first place at the UMPI Invitational 5K with a time of 22:41. She lead a 1-2-3 finish for UMaine-Farmington and ushered the Beavers to a team victory against Maine Maritime, Thomas, and UMaine-Presque Isle.

 

 

 


Rookie of the Week

Sophie Stewart, SUNY Delhi
First-year - Newark Valley, New York


Stewart won her first race as a Bronco and lead her team to a dual meet victory against Hartwick. She conquered the 4K race with time of 17:13.4 -- forty-three seconds ahead of the next runner. Delhi defeated Hartwick, 22-34.
