Player of the Week

Jahleel Gabriel, Northern Vermont-Lyndon
Senior, F - Springfield, Massachusetts

Gabriel posted double-doubles in both of NVU-Lyndon's games last week and shot 72.2% from the floor. In a loss to Sarah Lawrence, Gabriel tallied 15 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block. In a win over Pratt, he notched 14 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, and a block. Gabriel has logged double-doubles in five of the six Hornets' games this season, and this week averaged 14.5 points and 12 rebounds, as well as three assists and one block per game.




Rookie of the Week

Derek Collin, Husson
First-year, G - Bar Harbor, Maine

Collin led an explosive second half in a setback against Bates on Wednesday, scoring 14 points in 16 minutes to help Husson outscore the Bobcats in the second stanza. In total, Collin tallied 18 points, on 61.5 percent shooting, and eight rebounds in the loss. He continued to display confidence under the glass, grabbing a team-high seven rebounds, and added two points, two assists, and two steals, against Saint Joseph's College (Maine).







Player of the Week

Lauren Plissey, Maine Maritime
Sophomore, F - Hermon, Maine

Plissey helped lead the Mariners to a 3-0 week against tough non-conference opponents. The sophomore totaled 49 points (16.3 ppg), while shooting 60 percent from the floor, 23 rebounds (7.7 reb/g), eight blocks (2.7 blk/g), six steals (2.0 stl/g) and four assists. In the Mariners' 67-62 win over NESCAC's Colby, Plissey tallied 15 points, four rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block. In a come-from-behind victory over Gordon, Plissey tallied a double-double with a career-high 22 points and 11 rebounds, shooting 76.9 percent from the floor, while also adding five blocks. In the Mariners' final win of the week, Plissey tallied 12 points, eight rebounds, five steals, two blocks and two assists.



Rookie of the Week

Bailey Donovan, Husson
First-year, C - Island Falls, Maine

In a tough out-of-conference week for Husson, Donovan averaged another double-double with 16.5 points and 12 rebounds per game. In a close loss to Bates College, the rookie powered a fourth-quarter rally with nine points while shooting 3-3 from the charity stripe, totalling 14 points and eight rebounds in the game. Against Saint Joseph's (Maine), Donovan contributed 19 points, 16 rebounds, and two blocks in 24 minutes of action off the bench. Across both games, the rookie shot 66.7% (12-18) from the field with 33 points, 24 rebounds, two blocks, and a steal.
