MEN'S BASKETBALL

Player of the Week

Nicholas DePatsy, Maine Maritime
Senior, G - Waldoboro, Maine

DePatsy averaged 19.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 0.7 steals per game for the Mariners last week. The senior broke the school career record for three-pointers on Monday against the University of New England, when he tallied 20 points, including four three-pointers. DePatsy also tallied four assists, a steal, and a rebound against the Nor'easters. In the NAC opener, DePatsy tallied 14 points, and six rebounds, while shooting a perfect 8-for-8 from the line. In a loss to NVU-Lyndon, DePatsy tallied a game-high 25 points, four rebounds, an assist, and a steal while once again shooting 100 percent from the line (8-8).

 

 

 

Rookie of the Week

Peyton Olsen, Northern Vermont-Lyndon
First-year, G - Middleburgh, New York

Olsen averaged 13 points and 18.3 minutes per game for the Hornets last week, with 44.4 percent shooting from the floor and 38.5 percent from the arc. In a midweek non-conference tilt against Eastern Nazarene, he tallied 11 points, two assists, and a rebound. In a loss at Husson, Olsen scored eight points and grabbed a rebound. He capped the weekend road trip with a team-high 20 points, with three assists and three steals, in a thrilling win at Maine Maritime.

 

 

 

 

 

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Player of the Week

Karli Stubbs, Thomas
Senior, G - Auburn, Maine

Stubbs averaged 18.5 points per game to lead the Terriers to a 2-0 weekend at SUNY Canton. The senior scored a career-high 23 points in a 66-48 win on Friday, then added 14 in a 57-34 win on Saturday. She shot 48.1 percent from the field and made nine three-pointers on the weekend, shooting 50.0 percent from beyond the arc. Stubbs rounded out the weekend averaging 5.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.0 block, and 0.5 steals per game.

 

 

 

 Rookie of the Week

Bailey Donovan, Husson
First-year, C - Island Falls, Maine

Donovan averaged 12.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks per game as Husson went 2-1 overall on the week. She was one of two Eagles to net double digits against Division I University of Maine on Wednesday evening, achieving 10 points, with seven rebounds and a block, against the Black Bears. She proceeded to shoot 76.5 percent (13-17) from the field in conference action against both Northern Vermont University teams while netting an impressive 15 points in just 14 minutes of play on Sunday against the Badgers. She also collected 23 rebounds, six blocks and three steals on the week.
