MEN'S BASKETBALL

Player of the Week

Terion Moss, UMaine-Farmington
Sophomore, G/F - Portland, Maine

Moss led the Beavers to three wins last week while averaging 15 points per game and shooting 65.5 percent from the floor. He recorded 18 points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals in a mid-week win over Southern Maine, and then averaged 13.5 points on 75 percent shooting, 4.5 assists, two rebounds, and a steal in a NAC double-feature as UMaine-Farmington took two wins from UMaine-Presque Isle to start conference play undefeated.

 

 

 

Rookie of the Week

Floyd Davis, Northern Vermont-Johnson
First-year, F - Riverdale, Georgia

Davis led the Badgers this past week while shooting an impressive 64.0 percent from the field and averaging 18.5 points, 12 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.0 steal per game. Davis carried the Badgers on Tuesday on both ends of the floor as he grabbed 16 rebounds and scored 23 points in a loss to New England College. Davis continued to excel, scoring 14 points and adding eight rebounds, during Saturday's game against Elms.

 

 

 

 

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Player of the Week

McKenna Brodeur, UMaine-Farmington
Junior, F - Oakland, Maine

Brodeur led the Beavers to two conference wins last week while averaging a near double-double of 15 points and 9.5 rebounds over two NAC games. In game one against UMaine-Presque Isle, Brodeur scored 15 points with 12 rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and a block. In game two, she logged 15 points, seven rebounds, five blocks, and one assist. In a non-conference loss to Bowdoin on Tuesday, Brodeur put up nine points with two rebounds and two blocks.

 

 

 

Rookie of the Week

Maureen Stanton, Maine Maritime
First-year, G - Abington, Massachusetts

Stanton was a difference maker in the Mariners' first win over Saint Joseph's College of Maine since 2007. The first-year guard tallied 16 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and two steals in the thrilling 71-68 overtime victory.
