Lyndon Claims Fourth-Straight NAC Men's Cross Country Title

BANGOR, Maine – The Lyndon Hornets claimed the 2015 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men's Cross Country Championship on Saturday, October 31. Robert Hollis of UMaine-Farmington was the men's individual champion as he completed the course in 27:01.1
The Hornets earned first place after scoring 46 points with three runners in the top ten. The 8k championship race included 115 total runners, representing 10 schools.
The men's runner-up was Colby-Sawyer, as the Chargers turned in a 78, while UMaine Farmington was third (84), New England College was fourth (91), followed by Castleton (99), Thomas (168), Husson (174) Maine Maritime (176), Johnson State (235) and Green Mountain (319).

Hollis completed the course 25 seconds ahead of his nearest competitor, as Grandon Smith of Castleton finished second in a time of 27:26.4. Scott Shaw of New England College was third in 27:28.9, while Colby-Sawyer's Ben Bunnell placed fourth with a time of 27:36.3. Ayan Cole and Tim LaRoche of Lyndon placed fifth in sixth respectively in 27:45.8 and 27:47.6, Connor Wagner of UMaine-Farmington was seventh in 27:55.7, and Nick Kopf of Thomas rounded out the top eight in a time of 28:02.4.
