Husson Wins NAC Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Invitationals

Waterville, Maine - Eight teams contested 40 events in four pools over three days for the first-ever North Atlantic Conference (NAC) swimming & diving event. The 2021 NAC Virtual Invitational ran Friday, March 12th through Sunday, March 14. Each team competed in their home pools, with results from each site combined to determine overall placing and scoring.

Husson University won both the men's and women's Invitationals with 604 and 702 points, respectively.

Maine Maritime Academy captured a close second-place in the men's meet with 591 points. SUNY Delhi finished third with 82 points, and Cazenovia College finished fourth with 16 points.

Cazenovia finished second in the women's meet with 371 points, and Maine Maritime followed closely in third place with 354 points. SUNY Delhi finished fourth with 103 points.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a virtual invitational took the place of a formal championship meet this year. A three-day championship meet is planned for the first week of February next winter. The 2021-22 championship will be the first live swimming and diving championship meet for the conference, and feature morning preliminary heats and evening finals customary to championship events.

Five member schools currently sponsor men's and women's swimming & diving - SUNY Cobleskill, SUNY Delhi, Cazenovia College, Maine Maritime Academy, and Husson University.
