Broncos Headed to NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship
The NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Track and Field Committee announced Saturday the participants in the 2022 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
For each men's individual event contested, including the decathlon, the top 20 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition. For each women's individual event contested, including the heptathlon, the top 22 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition. For each relay event contested, the top 16 declared relay teams, one per institution, were accepted into the competition.
The 2022 NAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Track Athlete of they Year Naquille Harris and Rookie of the Year Josh Jeffes, both of SUNY Delhi, qualified for the men's championship. Their teammate Rebecca Heuler qualified in the women's javelin.
Harris holds the fifth seed entering both the 100- and 200-meter races. The NAC champion qualified with 10.35 and 21.07 seed times, respectively. Josh Jeffes is seeded 18th in the 400-meters with a time of 47.71.
Heuler qualified for the javelin as the 19th seed with a mark of 40.69 meters.
The championships will be held May 26-28 at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
