NAC Men's Soccer Weekly Awards - Sept. 6, 2022

Matt Serroa, SUNY Delhi
Freshman / Franklin, NY

Freshman Matt Serrao led SUNY Delhi men's soccer to a 2-0 start to the 2022 season. A defender, Serrao showed his offensive abilities by recording the game-tying goal and later assisting on the game-winning goal in the 71st minute as the Broncos downed Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, 2-1. He followed up with the assist on the game-winning goal in the 86th minute as Delhi dispatched in-state rival SUNY Morrisville, 2-1. 
 
Defensive Player of the Week
 
Xavier McAtee, University of Maine-Presque Isle
Freshman / Presque Isle, ME

Over the Owls' first two games of the season, Xavier McAtee finished with 17 saves and a .850 save percentage in his first two college games. McAtee charted 10 saves over 90 minutes with two goals allowed in UMPI's 2-0 loss to New England College, and he finished with seven saves with just one goal allowed as the Owls came away with a 1-1 tie against Methodist University (N.C.)

John-John Dickenson, Maine Maritime Academy

John-John Dickenson made an immediate impact for the Mariners in his collegiate debut, scoring two goals to lead the Maine Maritime to a 2-1 win over non-conference opponent University of New England.
