Senior guard Jeremy Moronta tallied back-to-back double-doubles to lead Husson University to a 3-0 week versus NAC East rivals, including a 17-point, 11-rebound double-double against Thomas College on Friday evening to go along with eight assists, just missing a triple-double. He also recorded two blocks and one steal in the Friday night matchup with the Terriers. In Saturday’s clash with Thomas, Moronta recorded a 28-point, 12-rebound double-double, tying a career-high with 28 points. He posted three assists, one block and three steals. Earlier in the week, Moronta charted an 18-point, nine-rebound effort against Maine Maritime Academy, adding two assists, one block, and one steal. For the week, Moronta averaged 22.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 1.5 blocks and two steals per game.
Defensive Players of the Week
Jesse O’Dell, SUNY Poly

SUNY Poly forward Jesse O'Dell helped pace the Wildcats to a pair of NAC West divisional victories over the weekend. He recorded nine defensive rebounds with a block and two steals in Poly’s 54-52 Friday night win over Northern Vermont-Johnson, helping the Wildcats hold the Badgers to nearly 20 points below their season scoring average. The following afternoon versus SUNY Canton, O’Dell again hauled down nine defensive boards with two blocks and a steal in an 83-79 triumph over the ’Roos. At the offensive end of the floor, O’Dell charted a double-double against both NVU-Johnson (11 points, 10 rebounds) and SUNY Canton (18 points, 10 rebounds). Over three games during the week, O’Dell averaged 14.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.7 assists.
Rookie of the Week
Gregory Gonyea Jr., Northern Vermont-Lyndon

Northern Vermont-Lyndon guard Gregory Gonyea Jr. captured Rookie of the Week honors for the second consecutive week after averaging 22.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.5 assists over two games for the Hornets. He tallied 31 points with two steals and three assists in a 94-91 win over Maine Maritime, in Friday’s first game of a two-game series against the Mariners. He followed up the next night with 13 points and four assists as Lyndon fell to Maine Maritime, 86-85. Gonyea went 18-of-30 (.600) from the field over the two games.
