Junior catcher Mackenzie Wendelken opened the season by hitting .400 with a double, five RBIs and two runs scored in eight games last week for SUNY Cobleskill. In Cobleskill’s 5-4 extra innings victory over Fort Lauderdale, Wendelken went 2-3 with two RBIs and a sacrifice fly. Her RBI single in the top of the 8
th allowed for the Fighting Tigers to take the lead and get the win over the Eagles. Wendleken also went two for three in Cobleskill’s game against Florida Memorial. She also finished the week with four putouts.

Sophomore Vermont State Lyndon pitcher Bailey Quire picked up her first collegiate win in a 7-inning complete game outing against Elms College last Tuesday. She scattered six hits with a pair of strikeouts and only one walk and took a shutout into the seventh inning in the Hornets 7-1 victory over the Blazers.
