NAC Men's Lacrosse Weekly Awards - April 1, 2024

Player of the Week 
 
Alex Jacobs, SUNY Canton
Junior | Attack | Adams Center, New York 
Jacobs led all players with seven goals as the Roos opened NAC play with a 19-15 win at Husson on Saturday. Nine of his 12 shots were on target and seven of the nine on goal found the back of the net. Jacobs scored six of the team’s first 16 goals to give Canton a 16-9 lead as they cruised to the crucial conference road victory. 
  
Defensive Player of the Week 
 
Hayden Todd, SUNY Canton
Sophomore | Goalie | Canton, New York 
Todd stopped 12 of the 23 shots he faced (.522 save %) to lead the Roos to a 19-15 road win at Husson to open NAC play on Saturday. The sophomore left the game with 7:21 remaining in the fourth quarter with Canton owning a convincing 18-11 advantage. Todd also picked up two ground balls. 
 
Co-Rookie of the Week 
 
Alex Baker, SUNY Cobleskill 
First Year | Attack | Guilford, Vermont 
During the week, the Fighting Tigers had two games against SUNY Delhi in North Atlantic Conference action and Hilbert College in non-league play. Cobleskill’s rookie attackman Alex Baker notched six goals, recorded an assist, picked up seven ground balls and forced three turnovers during the week.
 
Co-Rookie of the Week 
 
Bryce Crowell, Maine Maritime Academy 
First Year | M/FO | Oakland, Maine 
Crowell helped lead the Mariners to a 1-1 week, going 30-59 (50.8%) at the faceoff X and scooping up 17 ground balls. In Tuesday's matchup against NESCAC opponent Colby College, Crowell went 10-of-34 and scooped up a team-high four ground balls. In the Mariners dominant 29-5 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) opening victory over MCLA on Saturday, Crowell went an impressive 20-25 (80.0%) at the X, scooped up a game and career-high 13 ground balls, scored his first career goal, and dished out a career-high three assists.
