Player of the Week
Kirra Magaña – Senior – Midfield/Forward – Maine Maritime Academy

On Sunday, Kirra Magaña (Miami, Fla./Dr. Michael M. Krop) registered two goals and an assist in the Mariners’ first victory over University of New England in 17 years. The senior standout scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 60th minute and helped her side hold on for the 3-2 triumph.

Defensive Player of the Week
Sacha Porter – Senior – Defense – Lesley University

Sasha Porter (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif./Trabuco Hills) scored the game-winning goal in the Lynx 2-1 season-opening victory over Wentworth Institute of Technology at Sweeney Field in Boston last Friday. The senior caused a turnover in transition for the Leopards and fired off a long attempt that found the back of the net to propel Lesley to the win. The tally marked the first game-winner of the California native's collegiate career.

Rookie of the Week
Hadley Stoddard – Freshman – Midfield – Maine Maritime Academy

Hadley Stoddard (Old Orchard Beach, Maine/Thornton Academy) was credited with a pair of assists in the Mariners’ 3-2 victory over University of New England on Sunday. The freshman midfielder assisted on the game-winning goal in the 61st minute to help her side defeat the visiting Nor’easters for the first time since 2007.
