BANGOR, Maine – The Beavers secure their third-consecutive North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men’s Cross Country Championship as four runners place in the top 10 individual finishers.
Maine Maritime Academy’s William Spaulding placed first overall, crossing the finish line with a time of 27:42.80. Finishing 28 seconds after Spaulding was Farmington’s Andrew LaFlamme placing second with a time of 28:14.51. James Riley came in fourth for the Beavers wielding a time of 28:32.94. Rounding out the top 10 finishers for Farmington were Ethan Linscott (29:12.87) and Samuel Perkins (29:24.76) who finished eight and tenth respectively.
Gage Bruns was the first Thomas runner to finish the 8K race, placing third with a time of 28:26.02. Patrick McKenney ran a 28:49.61 time, good enough for a fifth-place finish, while teammate Tristan Hughes followed in sixth (28:56.51), seven seconds behind McKenney.
Zephaniaya Alvarado notched a top 10 finish for Lesley as he placed seventh with a time of 28:59.09. The Mariners’ Cooper Parlee was the final Maine Maritime runner to place in the top 10 as he placed ninth (29:19.57).
Farmington earned 35 points as Thomas College finished just behind the Beavers in second with 40 points. Maine Maritime Academy placed third overall with 58 points. Rounding out the results were Lesley University (136 points), Husson University (140 points), and UMaine-Presque Isle (143 points) placed fourth, fifth, and sixth respectively.
The top 15 runners earn All-North Atlantic Conference accolades, with the top eight on the First Team and finishers nine through 15 receiving Second Team honors.
All programs will compete in the 2025 NCAA East Regional on Saturday, November 15 hosted by Suffolk University at the Hopkinton Fair Grounds in Contoocook, New Hampshire.
