Player of the Week
 
Kadienne Whitcomb | VTSU Lyndon | Senior | Wing | West Burke, Vt.
 
Whitcomb led the Hornets to a pair of season opening wins in the Vermont State Tip-Off Classic over the weekend.  On Friday evening she matched her career high with 23 points as the Hornets knocked off tournament host VTSU Randolph.  She connected on seven three-point goals, which tied the Lyndon single game program record.  Kadienne backed that up with eight points in a win over Bryant & Stratton-Albany on Saturday.  For the week she averaged 15.5 points per game while shooting 45.8% from the floor and 40% from beyond the three-point arc.
 
Defensive Player of the Week

Kyra Pence led the Tiger defensive effort in their 60-58 win over Elmira College as she guarded Elmira’s top perimeter players and collected three steals on the day while collecting two defensive rebounds. 
 
Rookie of the Week
 
Taliah Carter | VTSU Lyndon | First-Year | Guard | Ozark, Ala.
 
Taliyah made an immediate impact in her collegiate debut, scoring 15 points, dishing out nine assists, and collecting three steals as the Hornets defeated VTSU Randolph in the opening round of the Vermont State Tip-Off Classic on Friday evening.  She followed that up with six assists, two points, and two steals as Lyndon defeated Bryant & Stratton-Albany on Saturday.  For the week she averaged 8.5 points, 7.5 assists, and 2.5 steals per game and shot 42.9% from the floor.
