NAC Announces 2025 Women's Volleyball Postseason Awards

WATERVILLE, Maine – The 2025 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Volleyball postseason accolades have been announced. The awards are voted on by the league's head coaches.  The list of honors Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, includes Senior Scholar Athlete, Coaching Staff of the Year, and First and Second All-Conference teams.

Each season, the NAC names a Sportsmanship Team, with one honoree per institution nominated by their head coach. This recognition goes to individuals who demonstrate exceptional sportsmanship, positively impacting the culture of women’s volleyball with integrity beyond the game’s requirements. The list of honorees can be found below.

SUNY Delhi’s Kayla Nuss has been named the 2025 NAC Volleyball Player of the Year with teammate Audrey Logsdon being recognized as the NAC Senior Scholar Athlete. Thomas College also claimed two postseason major awards as the Terriers’ Camille Gibson was named Defensive Player of the Year and first-year Addison Lebel earned Rookie of the Year status. Maine Maritime Academy was tabbed as the NAC Volleyball Coaching Staff of the Year for 2025.

The Broncos Nuss (Coplay, Pa.) has been named the 2025 NAC Volleyball Player of the Year and earns First Team All-Conference. In conference play, she tallied 105 kills on 264 attempts for a .258 hitting percentage, along with 11 service aces, 82 digs, and six blocks across 31 sets. Across the season, Nuss tallied eight double-doubles. She is second in the league in kills and points in conference games averaging 3.39 kills and 3.85 points per set. The outside hitter and defensive specialist earned NAC Player of the Week honors twice this season. Her season is highlighted by a match-high 26 kills in a regular-season win over SUNY Cobleskill. The junior helped Delhi clinch the No. 3 seed in the NAC postseason tournament and advance to the NAC championship match.

Gibson (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) claimed NAC Volleyball Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-NAC honors after registering 215 digs in league play and tallying a .954 reception percentage in 31 sets for Thomas College. The junior libero/defensive specialist led the NAC in digs averaging 6.94 in conference and 4.54 overall. Her season featured back-to-back matches where she posted 36 digs. She then surpassed that total with 37 against UMaine–Presque in the final regular-season weekend.

In her debut season, Thomas College first-year Lebel (August, Maine) captured Rookie of the Year recognition. In conference matches, Lebel accumulated 67 kills (.221 hitting percentage), 11 service, 37 digs, with 14 blocks; 10 of which were solo blocks. Anchoring the front row, she paced the Terriers with 162 kills and finished fourth in the NAC in overall hitting percentage. Lebel had five games on the season where she tallied double-digit kill numbers including a season-high 13 early in the season against Western New England.

Delhi’s Logsdon (Colorado Springs, Colo.) has been selected, by vote of the conference head coaches and NAC institutions’ Faculty Athletic Representatives, as the 2025 NAC Women’s Volleyball Senior Scholar Athlete. A senior in Delhi’s Event Management program, she currently holds a 3.87 GPA. Her academic excellence has earned her several awards, including the CADI Cash Scholarship, the Kevin Zraly Scholarship, and the Restaurant & Banquet Gratuity Scholarship.

On the court, she registered 104 digs, 17 assists, 22 service aces in conference play this season including a Delhi career-high 27-dig performance against Thomas College during the regular season. During her two years at Delhi, she played in 62 matches, 211 sets, 122 assists, 95 service aces, and 814 digs.

In addition to her athletic and academic achievements, Audrey is an active member of our community. She has volunteered at the Delhi Community Clean-Up, participated in Delhi’s annual Halloween Trunk O’ Treat for local youth, and donated her time to the Heart of the Catskills Humane Society.

Maine Maritime Academy has been selected as the 2025 NAC Volleyball Coaching Staff of the Year. Under first-year Head Coach Jessany Petricevic and Assistant Coaches Mark Moran, Therese Biggie, and Rachel Melampy, the Mariners posted a flawless 8-0 conference record, a 21-9 overall record, and secured their second straight NAC Women’s Volleyball Championship. The Mariners had five players earn All-Conference honors.
