Player & Defensive Player of the Week

Dow had a great week on both ends of the floor, helping lead the Beavers to a 2-1 record that included NAC victories over UMPI and Husson. On Wednesday against USM, Dow scored 11 points, had 3 rebounds, 2 assists, two steals, and two blocks against the Huskies. On Friday, Dow played just 13 minutes in the blowout win, but scored 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the floor and grabbed three rebounds and picked up four steals. On Saturday Dow led the Beavers to their first victory over Husson since 2007. Dow soared 21 points and grabbed a season-high 12 rebounds, five of which were on the offensive end of the floor, dished out seven assists and had three steals. For the week, she averaged 14.67 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.0 steals per game.
Dow also served as the primary defender of Husson's Saige Evans on Friday, the conference's leading scorer. Dow held Evans to just 5-of-17 shooting from the floor, and she also had 4 turnovers.

Maine Maritime Academy women's basketball freshman Aliyah Lambo finished the week averaging 5.5 points, four rebounds, 2.5 assists and two steals per game. Lambo finished with 11 points, four rebounds, four assists and four steals against the University of Maine at Presque Isle.
