Husson Secures #1 Seed in NAC Men’s Basketball East Division
WATERVILLE, Maine – Husson University has clinched the top seed in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) East Division and will host a pair of NAC Tournament quarterfinal contests on Friday, February 21, as well as the NAC East Division Championship on Saturday, February 22.

The 2025 NAC Championship game, featuring the West and East Division champions, will be played on Saturday, March 1, at the site of the East Division’s highest remaining seed.
The top four teams in the NAC East and West divisions qualify for the NAC Championship tournament. Quarterfinals and semifinals occur divisionally, at the site of each division’s top seed. Quarterfinal pairings are #1 versus #4, and #2 versus #3 in each division.
Husson, which capped the 2024-25 regular season with a 12-1 conference record and an 18-7 mark overall, is serving as the East Division pod host for the third time in the last four seasons. The Eagles, who defeated SUNY Cobleskill in the 2024 NAC Championship, are seeking their second consecutive – and 10th overall – conference crown.
In quarterfinal play at Husson on Friday, the Eagles will take on #4 Maine Maritime Academy (8-5 NAC, 13-10), while #2 UMaine-Presque Isle (10-3 NAC, 20-5) takes on #3 UMaine-Farmington (9-4 NAC, 12-12). Game times are TBD.
The winners of the Husson/Maine Maritime and UMaine-Presque Isle/UMaine-Farmington quarterfinal matchups will face off in the NAC East Division Championship on the Eagles’ home court on Saturday, tip-off TBD. The East Division champion will host the West Division victor in the 2025 NAC Championship on Saturday, March 1, at 1:00 PM.
The NAC champion earns an automatic qualifier into the 2025 NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Tournament, which begins on Friday, March 7.
