2025 NAC Women's Basketball Postseason Awards Announced
(UPDATED 3/5/25 1:42 PM) WATERVILLE, Maine – The 2025 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Women’s Basketball postseason accolades have been announced, recognizing standout performances across the conference. Honors include Senior Scholar-Athlete, Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Coaching Staff of the Year, and selections to the First, Second, and Third All-Conference Teams.
Each season, the NAC names a Sportsmanship Team, with one honoree per institution nominated by their head coach. This recognition is awarded to individuals who demonstrate exceptional sportsmanship and positively impact the culture of women’s basketball with integrity beyond the game’s requirements. The 10 NAC Sportsmanship Team honorees are listed below.
A pair of SUNY Cobleskill seniors headline this year’s conference awards, as Taylor Meacham (Berne, N.Y.) has been named the 2025 NAC Women’s Basketball Senior Scholar-Athlete, while center Logan Thayne (Hoosick Falls, N.Y.) earns NAC Player of the Year honors. Maine Maritime Academy also secured two major awards, with senior guard Erianna Moore (Fitchburg, Mass.) selected as the NAC Defensive Player of the Year, and the Mariners’ coaching staff, led by 24th-year Head Coach Craig Dagan, recognized as the NAC Coaching Staff of the Year. UMaine-Farmington freshman guard Jaydn Pingree (Jay, Maine) rounds out the 2025 NAC Women’s Basketball major awards as the NAC Rookie of the Year.
Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year – Taylor Meacham (SUNY Cobleskill)
The NAC Senior Scholar-Athlete Award honors one graduating senior per sport who has excelled academically and athletically while serving as a role model in the classroom and on the court. Nominees exemplify the NAC’s core values: excellence, integrity, equity, diversity, inclusion, and well-being.
Meacham, the 2025 NAC Women’s Basketball Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year, is a two-time SUNY Cobleskill Scholar-Athlete of the Year with a 3.78 GPA and nine semesters on the Dean’s List. A two-time ‘Excellence in Student Leadership’ nominee and 2024 NAC All-Sportsmanship honoree, she has also served as a three-year captain. Graduating with dual Animal Science degrees (BT and BS) and minors in Histology and Therapeutic Horsemanship, she plans to apply to veterinary schools in the fall.
On the court, Meacham - a 2025 Third Team All-Conference selection - has been instrumental in leading the NAC West Division Champion Fighting Tigers. Heading into Saturday’s NAC Championship, she is averaging 10.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.7 steals per game while shooting 51.7% (109-211) from the field. A four-year starter, she has compiled 806 points, 476 rebounds, 282 assists, and 125 steals in 96 career games.
Player of the Year – Logan Thayne (SUNY Cobleskill)
Thayne earns NAC Player of the Year honors for the second consecutive season after averaging 18.9 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game while shooting 46.8% (180-385) from the field, 36.6% (41-112) from three-point range, and 83.5% (91-109) from the free-throw line.
She currently leads NCAA Division III—and ranks second across all three divisions—with 24 double-doubles and is ranked fifth in total rebounds (327) and 11th in rebounding average. Thayne also leads the conference in blocks (50), blocks per game, field goal percentage, field goals made, free-throw percentage, points (492), and rebounds. The 6’2” center earned six NAC Player of the Week awards and was named NAC Defensive Player of the Week twice this season.
In 61 career games, Thayne has recorded 977 points, 625 rebounds, and 118 blocks, shooting 48.6% (360-740) from the field, 33.2% (66-199) from three-point range, and 80.6% (191-237) from the free-throw line.
Defensive Player of the Year – Erianna Moore (Maine Maritime Academy)
Moore, a three-time All-Conference honoree, has been named the 2025 NAC Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Year. The anchor of the NAC’s top defensive team, Moore routinely guards the opponent's best player, holding them below their season averages. The December 9 NAC Defensive Player of the Week, she is averaging 12.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game in 24 contests this season.
In 102 career games (101 starts), Moore has tallied 1,203 points, 570 rebounds, 133 steals, and 115 blocks. Her extensive list of accolades includes two First Team All-Conference selections, two NAC Tournament MVP awards, multiple MCBWA honors, and numerous academic achievements.
Rookie of the Year – Jaydn Pingree (UMaine-Farmington)
Pingree earns 2025 NAC Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Year honors after an impressive debut season, contributing 11.0 points and 4.6 rebounds per game while shooting 42.1% (102-242) from the field.
The 5’6” guard dominated the NAC Rookie of the Week honors, securing the award four times. She elevated her play after earning a starting role midway through the season, averaging 12.5 points per game since moving into the lineup.
Coaching Staff of the Year – Maine Maritime Academy
The 2025 NAC Women’s Basketball Coaching Staff of the Year award goes to Maine Maritime Academy. Led by 24th-year Head Coach Craig Dagan (418-203, .673) and Assistant Coach Mark Moran, the Mariners are vying for their third consecutive NAC Championship in a rematch against SUNY Cobleskill on Saturday.
Maine Maritime has dominated conference play, winning 34 straight games against NAC opponents (including tournament contests) and entering the title game riding a seven-game winning streak.
