Baseball
Player of the Week:
Matt Holmes – Sophomore – Outfield – Husson University

Husson University sophomore outfielder Matt Holmes (Bangor, Maine) finished 3-for-5 with four RBI in the Eagles 6-1 upset win over Bowdoin College last week.

Pitcher of the Week:
Alex Smith – Graduate – Husson University

Husson graduate student Alex Smith (Northborough, Mass.) was dominant in relief, tossing 6.1 scoreless innings with six strikeouts, no walks, and just three hits in the Eagles' 6-1 upset of No. 23 Bowdoin on Monday.

Men’s Lacrosse
Player of the Week:
Chris Lazazzaro – Junior – Attack – SUNY Delhi

SUNY Delhi junior attach Chris Lazazzaro (East Rockaway, N.Y.) led the Broncos to an emphatic 20-6 victory over conference opponent MCLA on Wednesday, totaling seven goals to go along with two assists. Lazazzaro would be just as dominant in the squad’s commanding 25-9 win over NAC foe Thomas College, adding five goals with four assists on Saturday.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Anthony Ferrato – Junior – FOGO – SUNY Delhi

Anthony Ferrato (Oceanside, N.Y.) dominated at the faceoff X, winning 40-of-47 draws (85.1%) across two NAC victories. He went a perfect 19-for-19 against MCLA, adding 19 ground balls, a goal, and an assist. Against Thomas, Ferrato won 21-of-28 faceoffs with 14 ground balls and another goal, finishing the week with 33 ground balls and two goals.

Rookie of the Week:
Tobey Lappin – Freshman – Attack – Maine Maritime Academy

Maine Maritime freshman attack Tobey Lappin (South Portland, Maine) netted nine goals with two assists and four ground balls in a 29-3 triumph over MCLA on Saturday. He established a new program single-game record with 28 shots in the victory.
 
Softball
Player of the Week:
Aliyah Neeser – Sophomore – Catcher/Outfield – SUNY Cobleskill

Sophomore Aliyah Neeser (Forest Lake, Minn.) had a career day for the Fighting Tigers in a non-conference sweep over Union College. The second-year standout went a combined 6-for-10 with six RBIs and a run scored across the doubleheader. In game one, Neeser drove in a career-high five runs while going 4-for-6 at the plate in Cobleskill’s 12-9 extra-inning win. She followed it up by going 2-for-4 with an RBI and scoring the game-winning run in a 4-3 comeback victory in game two, helping the Tigers plate three runs in the seventh inning to complete the sweep.

Pitcher of the Week:
Sky Johnson – Graduate – Husson University

Husson University graduate student Sky Johnson (Pismo Beach, Calif.) dominated in the circle in her only start of the week. Johnson pitched a complete-game, shutout against Saint Joseph's College of Maine allowing only two hits, one walk and striking out seven batters to pick up the 2-0 decision.

Rookie of the Week:
Gabriella Wendelken – Freshman – Pitcher/Utility – SUNY Cobleskill

Gabriella Wendelken (Stuyvesant, N.Y.) continued her strong rookie season with a standout two-way performance in the Fighting Tigers’ sweep over Union College on Sunday. Wendelken went 4-for-8 at the plate across the doubleheader with three RBIs, three runs scored, and two doubles. In game one, she powered the offense with a 2-for-4 showing that included two doubles, three RBIs, and a run scored, while also earning the win in the circle. She pitched a complete game, going 9.0 innings with four strikeouts and 19 flyouts to improve to 3-3 on the year. In game two, Wendelken added two more runs and another 2-for-4 effort at the plate to help lift the Tigers to a 4-3 win.
 
Women’s Lacrosse
Player of the Week:
Hazel Stoddard – Senior – Midfield – Maine Maritime Academy

Maine Maritime senior Hazel Stoddard (Old Orchard Beach, Maine) powered the Mariners to a 2-0 NAC week as the team – now 9-1 - matched its program season wins record. She tallied five goals and seven points in an 18-3 win over Thomas on Thursday, adding four ground balls and five draw controls. In a 16-7 win over UMaine-Farmington on Saturday, Stoddard – who ranks fourth in career points (350) among active NCAA players (all levels) - posted six points (3G, 3A) and a game-high 12 draw controls. She finished the week with 17 draw controls, tied for the team lead in goals (8), and led the squad in total points (13).

Defensive Player of the Week:
Abby Wong – Sophomore – Defense – Maine Maritime Academy

Maine Maritime sophomore defender Abby Wong (Irvine, Calif.) tallied 12 ground balls, eight caused turnovers, and six draw controls in a 2-0 conference week for the Mariners. In an 18-3 triumph over Thomas College on Thursday, Wong contributed seven ground balls and five draw controls – both career-highs – and capped the week with five ground balls, three caused turnovers, and six draw controls in a 16-7 win over UMaine-Farmington on Saturday.

Maine Maritime freshman midfielder Hadley Stoddard (Old Orchard Beach, Maine) registered five goals, five ground balls, five draw controls, and three caused turnovers in Mariners’ 2-0 week.
