Husson Forecasted to Capture 2025 NAC Women's Track & Field Championship
WATERVILLE, Maine – Six teams will compete in the 2025 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championship, hosted by Thomas College at the
Alfond Track on the campus of Colby College this Friday and Saturday.
Husson University, which received four first-place votes and 32 total points, is the favorite to win its fifth NAC title and first since 2023. Reigning champion Thomas College earned the remaining two first-place votes and sits just behind with 31 points in the pre-championship poll.
UMaine-Farmington ranks third (26 pts), followed by VTSU-Johnson (16), Lesley University (11), and UMaine-Presque Isle (10).
The championship begins Friday at 3:00 PM with men’s and women’s pole vault and high jump events. All other events begin Saturday at 11:20 AM.

Nina Gregory (Windsor, Conn.) returns as the defending High Jump champion (1.57m), while senior
Ava Dowling (Newburgh, Maine) currently leads the NAC in the 1500m (5:02.46), 5000m (18:57.22), and 3000m Steeplechase (11:51.88). Juniors
Alexis Freeman (Lewiston, Maine) and
Megan Fletcher (Dixfield, Maine) pace the conference in the Pole Vault (2.95m) and Hammer Throw (38.15m), respectively. Freshman
Molly Dearborn (Fairfax, Vt.) leads the NAC in the 400m with a 1:02.75 mark set at the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge (3/14/25).

Sophomore
Emma Burr (Pittsfield, Maine) returns after scoring 68 individual points to lead the Terriers to their first NAC Women’s Track & Field Championship last spring. The reigning NAC Track Athlete of the Year won five events - 100m (12.42), 200m (25.63), 100m Hurdles (14.95), Pole Vault (2.90m), and Triple Jump (11.11m) - while finishing second in two others. Graduate student
Mary DiSanto (South Portland, Maine) was also pivotal, winning both the Shot Put (11.42m) and Discus (42.72m) to help secure the team title.

Carrie Burr (Pittsfield, Maine) leads UMaine-Farmington into the 2025 NAC Championship after winning the 400m Hurdles (1:10.14) last spring. This season, she holds the NAC’s top times in both the 100m (13.06) and 400m Hurdles (1:12.38). Sophomore
Lina Martinez Nocito (Mount Vernon, Maine) leads the conference in the 800m (2:28.21), while junior
Eve Poteet (Fair Hill, Md.) tops the 10,000m leaderboard (40:58.49). The Beavers also boast the fastest relay times in the NAC for both the 4x100 (51.65) and 4x400 (4:29.62).

Forest Skillman (Cambridge, Vt.), a two-time NAC Rookie of the Week this spring, leads the conference in the Long Jump with a mark of 5.13m, set at the Ed Daniels Invitational (4/14/25). Junior
Kali Wooster (Fairfax, Vt.) owns the NAC’s second-fastest time in the 400m (1:03.38), while junior
Ida Eames (Craftsbury, Vt.) ranks second in the 400m Hurdles (1:18.20). Both performances came at the Middlebury Outdoor Meet (4/19/25).

Rebecca Hall (Richmond, Vt.) ranks among the NAC leaders in multiple distance events, sitting 8th in the 800m (2:55.58), 9th in the 1500m (5:52.09), and 7th in the 5000m (22:12.35). First-year
Darily Sanchez-Vargas (Chelsea, Mass.) also cracks the 800m leaderboard with the NAC’s 9th-best time (2:56.18) this spring.

Evelyn Elijah (New Salem, N.D.) is a key performer for the Owls heading into the NAC Championship, as she ranks in the top-eight in the conference in three throwing events: 4th in the Discus (29.90m), 5th in the Javelin (26.51m), and 8th in the Shot Put (9.33m). Sophomore
Taylor Marston (Presque Isle, Maine) also appears on the leaderboard with the NAC’s 8th-best time in the 100m Hurdles (21.11).
