Baseball
Player of the Week:
Samuel Keblinsky – Senior – Infield – Thomas College
Thomas College senior infielder Sam Keblinsky (Ellsworth, Maine) helped the Terriers to a 4-1 week by batting .526 (10-for-19) with four runs scored, a double, and an RBI. Keblinsky recorded at least one hit in all five games, highlighted by a 7-for-8 performance with two runs and a double in a NAC doubleheader sweep of VTSU-Lyndon on Monday. He also contributed hits in both of Thomas’ wins over reigning NAC champion Husson University on Friday.
Pitcher of the Week:
Andrew Pruell – Senior – Thomas College
Thomas College senior Andrew Pruell (Warren, Maine) went 2-0 with a save, a 2.25 ERA, and 11 strikeouts over 12 innings across three conference appearances last week. Pruell started Monday’s win over VTSU-Lyndon, tossing seven innings with five hits allowed and seven strikeouts. He then earned the win in relief against Husson on Friday, hurling three innings of one-hit ball with three strikeouts to hand the Eagles their first conference loss of the season. Pruell closed the second game against Husson with two more strong innings, allowing just two hits to pick up the save.
Rookie of the Week:
Raymond Morales – Freshman – Infield/Pitcher – Lesley University
Lesley University freshman Raymond Morales (Naugatuck, Conn.) extended his hitting streak to 10 games last week, collecting eight hits, including a three-hit performance in a conference win at SUNY Cobleskill on Sunday. He recorded his 14th RBI of the season in the same 6-5 victory. On the mound, he went 1-1 over 3.0 innings pitched, striking out five batters, including a career-high four strikeouts in the win at Cobleskill.
Softball
Player of the Week:
Bulla McCabe – Senior – Catcher – Husson University
Husson University senior catcher Bulla McCabe (Kailua, Hawaii) hit .409 (9-22) with four runs scored, two doubles, a triple, a home run, and seven RBIs in a 5-1 week for the Eagles. She delivered the game-winning home run in a 1-0 win over Bates College on Tuesday and posted back-to-back three-hit games against Lesley University on Friday.
Pitcher of the Week:
Sky Johnson – Graduate – Husson University
Husson University graduate student Sky Johnson (Pismo Beach, Calif.) went 2-0 with wins over Bates College and the University of Southern Maine last week. Johnson tossed a one-hit, seven-inning shutout with six strikeouts against Bates, then followed with a 13-strikeout performance over seven innings against USM, allowing six hits and one earned run. For the week, the graduate hurler went 2-0 with a 0.50 ERA and 19 strikeouts – and no walks – in 14 innings.
Rookie of the Week:
Gabriella Wendelken – Freshman – Pitcher/Infield – SUNY Cobleskill
SUNY Cobleskill freshman Gabriella Wendelken (Stuyvesant, N.Y.) led the Tigers to a conference sweep of VTSU-Lyndon over the weekend. Wendelken went 6-for-7 at the plate across the doubleheader with four runs scored, three RBIs, and three doubles. She also pitched a complete game, striking out seven and allowing just three earned runs over seven innings. In the Tigers’ 10-5 win, Wendelken went 3-for-3 with three doubles and two RBIs while earning the victory in the circle. She followed with a 3-for-4 performance and two runs scored in game two to complete the sweep.
Men’s Lacrosse
Player of the Week:
Brendan Reddington – Senior – Attack - Maine Maritime Academy
Maine Maritime senior attack Brendan Reddington (Meriden, Conn.) led all scorers with 10 points in a 21-9 NAC road win at Thomas College on Wednesday, setting a new school record for single-season assists. Reddington scored four goals and dished out six assists to surpass Jayden Wilson’s 2023 record of 41 assists. He now leads the NAC with 45 assists this season. Reddington’s first goal tied the game at 1-1, and he later added another to cap a 6-0 first-quarter scoring run.
Defensive Player of the Week:
Bryce Crowell – Sophomore – Midfield – Maine Maritime Academy
Maine Maritime sophomore midfielder Bryce Crowell (Oakland, Maine) helped lead the Mariners to a 21-9 road win over NAC opponent Thomas College, securing the No. 1 seed for the conference tournament. Crowell dominated at the face-off "X," winning 23 of 31 draws and collecting a game-high 12 ground balls. He also contributed two goals in the victory.
Rookie of the Week:
Cy Lynam – Freshman – LSM – Maine Maritime Academy
Maine Maritime Academy freshman midfielder Cy Lynam (Granby, Conn.) notched his first collegiate point – an assist – and picked up a career-high three ground balls with a caused turnover in a 21-9 conference win at Thomas College on Wednesday.
Women’s Lacrosse
Player & Defensive Player of the Week:
Hazel Stoddard – Senior – Midfield – Maine Maritime Academy
Maine Maritime Academy senior midfielder Hazel Stoddard (Old Orchard Beach, Maine) led the Mariners to a NAC title-clinching 24-13 Senior Night win over Husson and an 18-9 road victory at Castleton - the program’s first-ever win over the Spartans – last week. Stoddard totaled 22 points across the two games, posting team-highs with 15 goals and seven assists. She also added 13 draw controls, six ground balls, and two caused turnovers.
Rookie of the Week:
Hadley Stoddard – Freshman – Midfield – Maine Maritime Academy
Maine Maritime Academy freshman midfielder Hadley Stoddard (Old Orchard Beach, Maine) helped the Mariners close the regular season on a 12-game winning streak with four goals, seven total points, and nine draw controls in wins over Husson and Castleton last week. She scored MMA’s first goal during a 13-5 run to erase an early 3-1 deficit against Husson on Wednesday then posted three goals and three assists in the regular season finale at Castleton on Sunday.
