Player of the Week:
Matt Holmes – Sophomore – Outfield – Husson University
Husson University sophomore Matt Holmes (Bangor, Maine) helped lead the Eagles to a 4-1 week by hitting .588 (10-17) with six runs, two doubles, a triple, two home runs, and eight RBI in the five contests. He kicked off the week by going 3-for-5 with two runs, a double, a homer, and two RBI in a loss to Southern Maine on Monday and was 7-for-12 with four runs, a three-bagger, a long ball, and six RBI in a four-game sweep of UMaine-Presque Isle over the weekend.
Pitcher of the Week:
Matt Wallingford – Senior – Husson University
Husson University senior Matt Wallingford (Greene, Maine) was lights-out on the mound for the Eagles during his only start last week. Wallingford pitched six, one-hit innings against the UMaine-Presque Isle, not allowing a walk and striking out 10 batters.
Rookie of the Week:
Charles Ambroult – Freshman – Lesley University
Lesley University freshman pitcher Charles Ambroult (Quincy, Mass.) was dominant in an 8-0 conference victory over VTSU-Lyndon on Sunday. The 6’0” righthander tossed six scoreless innings, allowing just three hits while walking three and striking out seven batters – a career-high – in the NAC victory.
Men’s Lacrosse
Player of the Week:
Jack Morrill – Junior – Midfield/FOGO – Thomas College
Thomas College junior midfielder Jack Morrill (Winthrop, Maine) filled the stat sheet in a 1-1 week for the Terriers with five goals, two assists, 30 ground balls, three caused turnovers, and a stellar 74.5% (35-47) face-off percentage in the two games combined. Morrill netted three goals with 13 ground balls and won 62.1% (18-29) of his face-off bids in a 14-13 setback at the hands of Salem State on Tuesday. In a 14-3 conference victory over MCLA on Saturday, the junior standout tallied two goals, two assists, and 17 ground balls while willing 94.4% (17-18) of his face-off attempts.
Defensive Player of the Week:
Matthew Villeneuve – Sophomore – LSM – Maine Maritime Academy
Maine Maritime sophomore LSM Matthew Villeneuve (Walpole, Mass.) tallied seven ground balls, seven caused turnovers, and three assists in a 1-1 week for the Mariners. He picked up a pair of ground balls in a hard-fought 16-13 loss at Colby College on Monday and added three assists, six caused turnovers, and five ground balls – both career-highs – in a 28-6 conference victory at SUNY Cobleskill on Sunday.

Tobey Lappin – Freshman – Attack – Maine Maritime Academy
Maine Maritime freshman attack Tobey Lappin (South Portland, Maine) scored 11 goals with three assists, five ground balls, and three caused turnovers in a 1-1 week for MMA. He scored twice and assisted on another in a narrow loss (16-13) at Colby College on Monday and went off with nine goals, two assists, four ground balls, and three caused turnovers in s 28-6 triumph at SUNY Cobleskill on Sunday.

Natalie Whitten – Senior – Attack – Husson University
Husson University senior attack Natalie Whitten (Readfield, Maine) tallied three goals four assists, four ground balls, and one caused turnover in the Eagles’ only game of the week, a 13-3 victory at Thomas College on Tuesday.
Defensive Player of the Week:
Emma Dunn – Sophomore – Midfield - UMaine-Farmington
UMaine-Farmington sophomore midfielder Emma Dunn (Farmington, Maine) scored a goal with eight ground balls, five caused turnovers, and three draw controls in the Beavers’ 10-8 victory at Thomas College on Saturday.
Rookie of the Week:
Kate Boehmcke – Freshman – Midfield – Husson University
Husson University freshman midfielder Kate Boehmcke (Shelburne, Vt.) registered a pair of assists with a ground ball and three draw controls in the Eagles’ 13-3 conference victory at Thomas College on Tuesday.
