GAME 5: #4 UMaine-Farmington 14, #6 Vermont State University Lyndon
The Beavers delivered a dominant performance over Vermont State University Lyndon, securing a decisive 14–0 five-inning victory in Game 6 of the 2025 NAC Softball Tournament. With the win, UMaine-Farmington advanced to Game 8 of the tournament and improves to 16-17 for the season and 2-1 in the tournament.

Gabriella later scored on a Delhi throwing error, ending the first inning with a 3–0 lead.

SUNY Delhi got on the board in the top of the second, as Danielle Seymour reached on a Cobleskill error, advanced to third, and scored on a sacrifice bunt by Angelina Dickel. After two scoreless innings, Delhi capitalized on Cobleskill's defensive mistakes again, scoring two unearned runs in the fourth to tie the game at 3–3. Cobleskill responded in the bottom half with three runs on three hits, reclaiming a 6–3 lead.

Delhi continued to fight, adding three more runs in the fifth inning to even the score again at 6–6. However, their comeback was cut short, as Cobleskill scored four runs across the fifth and sixth innings, aided by Delhi’s five defensive errors, to close out the game 10–6.

GAME 8: #2 SUNY Cobleskill 18, #4 UMaine-Farmington 12
#2 SUNY Cobleskill (22-11-1) erased a 10-7 deficit with seven unanswered runs in the fifth and sixth innings to defeat #4 UMaine-Farmington (16-19), 18-12, in a NAC Softball Tournament elimination game Saturday at SUNY Oneonta.

With the win, SUNY Cobleskill advances to face #3 Thomas College in the final elimination game of the NAC Tournament at 5:00 PM. The winner will move on to face undefeated #1 Husson University in Sunday’s 1:00 PM championship. As the only unbeaten team left in the double-elimination tournament, Husson needs just one win to secure the title. Cobleskill or Thomas would need to defeat the Eagles twice—once Sunday and again in a winner-take-all final—to claim the NAC crown.

For UMaine-Farmington, the setback signals the end of  both the Beavers’ NAC tourney run and 2025 season.

The teams combined for 17 runs in the first two innings, with SUNY Cobleskill jumping out to a 7-3 lead on a two-run single by freshman Avery Prievo in the second. UMaine-Farmington answered with seven runs in the bottom half, capped by a three-run triple from sophomore Abby Wrinn, to take a 10-7 lead after two.

The teams traded runs in the third, and senior Kailee DiGiacco tied the game at 11-11 in the fourth with a two-run triple and a run scored on an error. In the bottom half, junior Maddie Pike doubled home sophomore Melissa Mayo to give UMF a brief 12-11 lead—its final run of the game.

Cobleskill reclaimed the lead with two in the fifth and sealed the win with a five-run sixth. Prievo delivered the go-ahead RBI single in the fifth and later added a three-run triple to finish off the 18-12 victory.

GAME 9: #2 SUNY Cobleskill, 8 #3 Thomas College, 7
#2 SUNY Cobleskill (23-11-1) fought back from a 7-1 deficit with seven unanswered runs, including three in the top of the seventh, to defeat #3 Thomas College (17-20), 8-7, and remain alive in the double-elimination 2025 NAC Softball Tournament on Saturday evening.

With the thrilling triumph, the Fighting Tigers move on to face undefeated #1 Husson University in Sunday’s 1:00 PM championship. As the only unbeaten team left in the double-elimination tournament, Husson needs just one win to secure the title. Cobleskill would need to defeat the Eagles twice—once Sunday and again in a winner-take-all final—to claim the program's first NAC crown.

For Thomas, the loss signals the end of the 2025 campaign.

Trailing 7-5 with no outs in the top of the seventh, Aliyah Neeser doubled home Mackenzie and Gabrielle Wendelken to tie the game and later scored the go-ahead run with two outs when sophomore Madelynn Orosz lined a 2-2 pitch up the middle.
Orosz then closed out the victory in the circle, sitting down the Terriers 1-2-3 on three flyouts in the bottom of the seventh.

The Terriers held a 3-1 advantage after two innings but put a four-spot off four hits on the board in the bottom of the third, when Corinne Vasvary and Leah Knight delivered an RBI apiece and Abby Farone roped a two-run double to make it a 7-1 game.

SUNY Cobleskill methodically chipped away at the Terrier lead with two runs in the top of the fourth and a pair of runs on three hits in the top of the sixth, when Avery Prievo and Jenna Smyczynski posted RBI base hits to achieve a more manageable 7-5 deficit.

With Orosz – who faced one batter over the minimum over 4.2 innings – holding the Terriers in check, the Fighting Tigers proceeded to win the game in exciting fashion, as the Wendelken sisters singled and walked to set the stage for Neeser, who knotted the game at 7-7 with the aforementioned two-run double.
