2025 NAC Men's Lacrosse Tournament Preview

WATERVILLE, Maine – Maine Maritime Academy will serve as the host for the entirety of the 2025 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men’s Lacrosse Tournament, which begins Saturday with a pair of semifinal contests and concludes Sunday with the NAC Championship at Ritchie Field in Castine, Maine.

Saturday’s action kicks off at 2:00 PM when top-seeded Maine Maritime (5-0 NAC, 8-5) battles #4 Husson University (2-3 NAC, 8-7) and game two, featuring #2 SUNY Delhi (4-1 NAC, 10-4) and #3 Thomas College (3-2 NAC, 4-10), is set for a 4:30 PM face-off.

Semifinal winners advance to the NAC Championship game, which will be played at Ritchie Field on Sunday, May 4 at 3:00 PM. The NAC Champion earns the conference’s automatic qualifier to the 2025 NCAA Division III Men’s Lacrosse Tournament, which begins Wednesday, May 7.

Bryce Crowell led the NAC in ground balls/game (10.46, 10th in NCAA DIII) and was 2nd in faceoff % (.630). Matthew Villeneuve added 4.54 ground balls/game, and Andrew Noyes ranked 3rd in saves/game (12.10) with a .531 save %.

INDIVIDUAL: SUNY Delhi featured several of the NAC’s top performers in 2025. Anthony Ferrato led the league in faceoff win percentage (.761, 2nd in NCAA DIII) and ranked second in ground balls (10.31/game), while Nick Allen topped the NAC in caused turnovers (3.29/game, 4th in NCAA DIII) and added 5.36 ground balls per game. Freshman goalie Jayden Messina led in both goals-against average (7.75, 8th in NCAA DIII) and save percentage (.593). On offense, Chris Lazazzaro ranked top five in assists per game (2.14), points per game (4.71), and shot percentage (.563), with strong support from Jagger Beachak (4.29 pts, 2.50 goals/game) and Joseph Lazazzaro (1.64 assists, 3.57 points/game).

The Terriers were third in the NAC in face-off win percentage (.491) and man-up offense (.317) and ranked fourth in both ground balls (479) and ground balls per game (34.21). Thomas also posted the fifth-best scoring defense (13.00 goals allowed/game) and clearing percentage (.715).

INDIVIDUAL: Thomas College had several players rank among the NAC’s best in 2025. Jack Morrill was 3rd in ground balls per game (9.62) and 4th in face-off percentage (.560), while Hunter Vail and Ciaran Vizi ranked 4th (1.93) and 6th (1.79), respectively, in caused turnovers per game. Timothy Worster was 6th in goals per game (2.71) and 7th in points (3.64), and Owen Lyons ranked 7th in assists per game (1.43). In goal, Daniel Guarino was 3rd in saves per game (9.58).

INDIVIDUAL: Kiernan Field led the NAC in both goals per game (4.33) and points per game (5.60) and ranked 2nd and 10th nationally, respectively, in the aforementioned categories. Brian Peabody was third in the NAC in face-off percentage (.576), and Owen Giorgio ranked second in caused turnovers per game (2.87, 10th in NCAA DIII) and fifth in ground balls per game (6.47). Brad Stolt also appeared in both categories, finishing fifth in face-off percentage (.546) and ninth in ground balls per game (4.47). In net, Andrew Noyes ranked fourth in the NAC with 12.10 saves per game and posted a .531 save percentage.
