Player of the Week

Jessica Legendre | Lesley University | Senior | Leesville, La.

Legendre improved to a combined 14-0 on the year with a 4-0 week for Lesley including a huge performance vs NAC Pre-season favorite Simmons University. The senior posted a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles vs. the Sharks after recording a 6-0 win in No. 2 doubles action to help the Lynx pick up a gutsy 6-1 victory over Simmons in NAC play. The captain followed up that performance with a pair of victories over the weekend vs. Salem State, cruising in singles (6-0, 6-1) and doubles (6-1) action to remain unbeaten on the year.

Co-Rookie of the Week

Katelyn Cotter | Husson University | First-Year | Windham, Maine

Cotter went 4-0 across singles and doubles action this past weekend on Husson's trip to Vermont. Cotter did not drop a game against Vermont State University Lyndon on Saturday, winning 6-0, 6-0 in singles and 6-0 in doubles. Against Vermont State University Johnson, Cotter won 6-0, 6-0 in singles and captured a 6-1 victory in doubles.

Co-Rookie of the Week

Gigi Bhagat | Thomas College | First-Year | Pueblo, Colo.

Gigi had a fantastic weekend on the court for the Terriers. On Wednesday against Plymouth State, she won at #3 singles 6-1, 6-0. In Thomas’ Saturday matchup against VTSU Johnson, Bhagat won at #2 doubles 6-0, and won at #2 singles 6-0, 6-0. In the team’s Sunday doubleheader against VTSU Lyndon, she won at #2 doubles in match one 6-0, and won 6-0, 6-0, at #2 singles. In the second match of the day Bhagat won 6-0, 6-0, at #1 singles. In total Bhagat went an incredibly impressive 60-1 against all of her opponents this week. 

Doubles Team of the Week

Emma Parson | Simmons University | Junior | Pembroke, N.H.
Emilie Lapointe, Simmons University | Junior | Clinton, Mass.

The Simmons double duo of Parson and Lapointe add to their doubles win streak (5) with two victories on the week. Against conference opponent, Lesley University, the two won #1 doubles 6-3. Over the weekend, the pair won 7-6 at #2 doubles against Clark University.
