Player of the Week
Shafi Ibrahim | Thomas College | First-Year | Forward | Lewiston, Maine
Ibrahim was the Terriers most important attacking player this past weekend, registering his first collegiate hat-trick against Curry College on Saturday. His best moment was his third goal, where he used his speed and ability to dribble through two players and found the back of the net. Earlier in the week, Ibrahim scored his first collegiate goal in Thomas' 1-4 loss to NESCAC opponent Colby College. Despite no goals on Sunday against Western New England, he still was able to generate several shots that forced good saves from their goalkeeper. On the week, he garnered four goals, eight points, one game-winning goal, and seven shots on goal.
Defensive Player of the Week
Jamie Fischer | Thomas College| Sophomore | Goalkeeper | Dubendorf, Switzerland
Fischer had an excellent weekend in goal for Thomas, starting in all three games. On Tuesday, he recorded eight saves off 10 shots faced in the Terriers 1-4 setback over Colby College, Fischer only allowed two goals from the NESCAC opponent. He saw one shot faced in their 3-1 win against Curry and against Western New England on Sunday, Fischer was the key reason the Terriers were able to stay in the game and keep a close 2-0 score. Fischer tallied 11 saves off 19 shots faced by WNE. His best moment came in the middle of the second half, where Fischer dove to save a shot that was headed to the top left corner. Both goals that were conceded were after saves that Jamie made and were loose balls in the 18-yard box.
