Player of the Week
Saige Evans | Husson University | Forward | Sophomore | Greenbush, Maine
Evans continued her run of double-doubles this past week in a 2-1 stretch for Husson, as it defeated the top two teams in the North Atlantic Conference entering the week (UMaine Farmington and Maine Maritime Academy) to pull into a three-way tie for first-place in the conference, while also falling during the week to top-10 nationally ranked Bowdoin College. Evans tallied 14 points and 10 rebounds against Bowdoin, totaled 15 points and 11 rebounds versus Farmington and concluded her week with a 14-point, 11-rebound, four-assist performance against MMA. Evans has now posted a double-double in nine-consecutive games.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Jaiyla Colon | SUNY Cobleskill | Sophomore | Guard | Worchester, Mass.
Jaiyla Colon delivered one of the top defensive performances of the season for the Fighting Tigers’ in their 71-37 road NAC win at SUNY Delhi. The guard recorded a season-high four steals and two blocks while pulling down six defensive rebounds (eight total). Colon also contributed 14 points and three assists, finishing 6-of-12 from the field in the victory.
 
Rookie of the Week
Sophia Carnes | Husson University | First-Year | Guard | Gilbert, Ariz.
Carnes stepped into a bigger role for Husson this past weekend due to an injury, a role in which she thrived in, as the Eagles defeated UMaine Farmington and Maine Maritime Academy, while also falling to Bowdoin College during the week. Carnes recorded 15 points on five made three-pointers against MMA, in addition to three trifectas against UMF and two against Bowdoin to help the Eagles to a solid week and pull into a three-way tie for first-place in the North Atlantic Conference.
