WATERVILLE, Maine – The Husson Eagles captures the No. 1 seed and will host the 2026 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Softball Championship Tournament. The six-team, double-elimination tournament will take place Thursday, May 7 through Saturday, May 9 at the Robert & Frances O’Keefe Softball Field in Bangor, Maine.
The top six teams qualify for the NAC Tournament, with all games played as 7-inning contests.
No. 20 Husson (33-4) finished the regular season with a perfect 16-0 (1.000) conference record and joining them in the six-team double elimination tournament are #2 Thomas College (19-18). The Terriers enter the tournament with a 12-4 (.750) record in conference play. Sliding in at the #3 seed is SUNY Cobleskill (20-19) who capped off their conference play with a 10-6 (.625) record.
UMaine-Farmington (14-17) claims the No. 4 seed in the tournament with a 9-6 (.600) conference record. SUNY Delhi (14-19) takes the No. 5 seed after posting a 9-7 (.562) league record. Taking the remaining spot in the tournament as the No. 6 seed is UMaine-Presque Isle. The Owls (15-18) make their first postseason appearance since 2023 after posting a 9-7 (.562) NAC record.
UMaine-Presque Isle and SUNY Delhi both tied with an 9-7 (.562) conference record.
Following the conference championship tiebreaking procedures, SUNY Delhi holds the tiebreaker over UMaine-Presque Isle and will be the No. 5 seed, with UMaine-Presque Isle earning the No. 6 seed.
The winner of the 2026 NAC Championship will receive the conference’s automatic qualifier to the NCAA Division III Softball Tournament, which opens with regional play on Thursday, May 14 at campus sites across the country.
