WATERVILLE, Maine – An esteemed group of 456 student-athletes from 10 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) institutions have earned a place on the Winter/Spring 2025-2026 NAC All-Academic Team.
The 456 student-athletes honored represent 58 teams across eight NAC-sponsored sports. Baseball leads with 107 honorees, followed by softball with 84. Rounding out the list are women’s basketball (67), women’s track & field (50), men’s basketball (47), women’s lacrosse (39), men’s lacrosse (34), men’s track & field (28).
The 2025-2026 NAC Winter/Spring All-Academic Team includes 141 first-years, 110 sophomores, 109 juniors, 80 seniors, and 16 graduate students, showcasing academic excellence across all class levels.
In order to be eligible for All-Academic honors, student athletes must be participating members of their respective teams and achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
Member institutions are responsible for identifying eligible student athletes.
Husson University led the list of 10 NAC institutions with 100 student-athletes and Thomas College was close behind with 82 earning recognition on the 2025-2026 NAC Winter/Spring All-Academic Team. UMaine-Farmington followed with 76 honorees, while Maine-Presque Isle (47), and Vermont State University Lyndon (31) completed the top five. Also represented were SUNY Cobleskill (27), Vermont State University Johnson (24), Lesley University (24), SUNY Delhi (22), and Maine Maritime Academy (21). Men’s lacrosse associate member Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts had two student-athletes on the list as well.
NAC All-Academic Team honors are bestowed twice a year, at the conclusion of the fall and spring semesters. The Winter/Spring semester All-Academic Team includes only student athletes who competed in sports with a winter and spring conference championship - men's and women's basketball, men's lacrosse, women’s lacrosse, baseball, softball, and men's and women's track & field.
The NAC has 10 member institutions including SUNY Cobleskill, SUNY Delhi, UMaine-Farmington, Husson University, Vermont State University Johnson, Lesley University, Vermont State University Lyndon, Maine Maritime Academy, UMaine-Presque Isle, and Thomas College.
