Simmons University senior Emilie Lapointe went undefeated in singles last week while helping the Sharks to a 2-1 record, also posting a 2-1 mark in doubles. Lapointe earned the Sharks’ lone singles victory in their loss to Roger Williams, battling to a 6-2, 4-6, 10-7 win. She followed with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 victory against the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) before closing the week with another straight-set win over Suffolk, 6-1, 6-0.

Simmons University first-year Ivy Cote made an impressive collegiate debut last week, posting a 2-1 record in singles. Competing at No. 4 singles, Cote earned dominant straight-set victories over Suffolk, 6-1, 6-0, and the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.), 6-2, 6-0.
 
Doubles Team of the Week

Bhagat and Mack had a positive week for the Terriers. In the team's first matchup of the week against University of New England, Bhagat and Mack won in dominant fashion, 6-1 at #2 doubles. Later in the week against UMass Dartmouth the duo put up a good fight but ultimately fell 3-6.
