    Castleton senior forward Rachel Preusser has been selected as the 2013 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Field Hockey Player of the Year in a vote of the league’s coaches. Preuesser led the conference with 43 points and 17 assists, while ranking second with 13 goals in nine conference games for the league’s most prolific offense.

    Sabrina Vaillancourt netted her fourth game-winner of the year, leading Husson to a dramatic come-from-behind win in the quarterfinal round of the NAC Tournament to earn Player of the Week honors. Kelsey Dumond was named Rookie of the week after she scored the game-tying goal for St. Joseph's (Me.) as the Monks scored four unanswered goals to earn a quarterfinal win.

Lasell's Katelyn Dombrowski scored on her first collegiate shot and was named Rookie of the Week as the Lasers fell in double overtime to WPI.
  • Defending Champion Castleton Picked to Win Field Hockey Title

    Defending champion Castleton earned seven first-place votes and has been chosen as the preseason favorite to win the North Atlantic Conference Field Hockey title in a vote conducted by the league's coaches. The Spartans, who have lost just one game during regular season conference play over the past two seasons, return ten seniors from last year’s title winner.
