    Husson University sophomore forward Phil Frost has been selected the 2012 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men’s Soccer Player of the Year in a vote of the league’s coaches. Frost posted a league-leading 12 goals and 25 points in conference play, nearly doubling the output of his closest competitor.

    Nicholas George provided a goal and an assist to lead Maine Maritime to a 2-1 quarterfinal win over Castleton and was named Player of the Week. Ralph Bertrand scored with just 1:12 remaining in the second overtime to lead New England College past Colby-Sawyer, earning Rookie of the Week honors.

Cam Libbey helped Husson keep the pressure on Thomas in the NAC standings, contributing the game-winning goal against UMF to earn Rookie of the Week honors.

    Husson University earned a pair of conference wins and swept the weekly awards as Phil Frost was named Player of the Week and Stephen Berenyi was named Rookie of the Week. Frost scored four goals in the two wins, while Berenyi added a goal and an assist.

    Green Mountain's Nate Kishbaugh was stellar in between the pipes this week, stopping all 16 shots that came his way in a pair of 1-0 shutout wins for the Eagles to earn Player of the Week honors. Danny Favreau was outstanding in Castleton's conference opener, registering a goal and an assist and was named Rookie of the Week.

    Nate Koenemann has led Castleton to its first 4-0 start since 2001, allowing just one goal in 360 minutes of action. The junior posted a pair of shutouts and was named Player of the Week. Kyle Haslam scored three goals in his first week of collegiate soccer for Maine Maritime and earned Rookie of the Week honors.

    Husson University has been selected to win the 2012 North Atlantic Conference Men’s Soccer Title in a recent poll of the conference coaches. The defending NAC champion Eagles received eight out of a possible ten first place votes and a total of 98 points.
