LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Husson University utility player Arika Brochu claimed the final Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III National Player of the Week honor of the 2019 season. She becomes the first Eagle to ever claim recognition from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA).
Husson (24-9) earned the automatic bid for the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) with their second-consecutive conference championship in an 8-0, five-inning win over top-seeded Thomas College yesterday. The Eagles will play MIT (27-10-1) in the first round of regionals this weekend in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College softball team fell to Husson University in Game 6 of the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Tournament on Sunday morning at the Softball Field on the campus of Colby College. Husson takes their second-consecutive NAC Title after going undefeated in the double elimination tournament.

Thomas and Husson won the first two games of the 2019 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship on a cold morning on the campus of Colby College. The Terriers and Eagles will face-off in Game 4 tomorrow, after UMaine-Farmington (UMF) and UMaine-Presque Isle (UMPI) compete to stay alive in Game 3 of the double-elimination tournament.

Thomas College closed out the regular season with a 22-8 overall record, and 11-1 record in conference contests, and earned the top seed in the 2019 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Softball Championship.
