  • NAC Women's Cross Country All-Conference Announced

    First-year runner Abby Shafer has been named the North Atlantic Conference Women’s Cross Country Runner and Rookie of the Year after her performance at the NAC Championship this weekend. Shafer paced the field, finishing the 5K event in 20:40.78, edging out 2012 Runner of the Year Alecia Palmer of Husson.

    Abby Shafer led New England College to a fourth place finish, touring the Western New England Invitational 5K course in 19:31 to net her Runner of the Week honors. Kylee Parker also landed a top-ten finish at Western New England, finishing seventh for Colby-Sawyer and earning Rookie of the Week accolades.

    First year runner Abby Shafer led New England College this Saturday, turning in a top-ten finish among 371 competitors. Shafer posted a sub-20 minute time in the 5k and was named Runner of the Week. Chrissy Larrabee led Husson to a team win at the Runnin' Monks Invitational, winning the 5k race and earning Rookie of the Week honors.

    Abby Shafer continued her fantastic rookie campaign, finishing the Keene State Invitational in 19:35 to lead New England College and earn Runner of the Week honors. Chrissy Larrabee won the Colby Invitational, leading Husson to a second place finish, and earning the Rookie of the Week award.

    Alecia Palmer paced Husson to a fifth place finish, touring the 6K course at the Bowdoin Invitational in 24:15.72 to earn Runner of the Week honors. Margaret Kuchinski finished the Vermont State Championships 5k 16th, leading Castleton to a third place finish and was named Rookie of the Week.

    Husson's Alecia Palmer posted a personal best 19:19 at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational 5K this weekend and was named Runner of the Week. Abby Shafer shattered the New England College women's 5K record, running a 19:01 at the USM Invitational to earn Rookie of the Week honors.
