MEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK

Anthony Pifari, Northern Vermont University-Lyndon

(Freshman - Littleton, NH)

Pifari, running in the Western New England University Invitational on Saturday October 13th, clocked 27:21 over the soggy 8K course. Pifari was the top runner for the Hornets and the 12th overall out of 134 runners. Pifari helped the Hornets notch a ninth place team finish in a race that featured division I runners.

 

   

MEN'S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK 

Jesse Walley, SUNY Canton

(Freshman - Cortland, NY)

Walley clocked a career-best time of 28:22 (5:42/mile) over the 8-kilometer course in the Cross Country Only Championships at Seneca Lake State Park. The freshman finished in seventh place out of the 98-runner field leading the Roos to a fourth place finish out of 10 teams with 121 points.

   

WOMEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK

Sierra James, Maine Maritime Academy

(Senior - Campton, N.H.)

James led the Mariners at Saturday's Green Mountain Invitational, placing 13th overall on the challenging 5K course with a time of 21:25. James was the top finisher among North Atlantic Conference runners.

 

   

WOMEN'S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Zosia Prince, NVU-Lyndon

(Freshman - Sutton, Vt.)

Running at the Western New England University Invitational Saturday October 13th clocked 25:05 over the soggy 6K course. Prince was the top runner for the Hornets on the day and finished 36th out of 122 Division I & Division III runners.
