NAC Cross Country Honors (Week Ending 10/21/18)

 
 

 

MEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK

Jarrod Ottman, Thomas College

(Jr. - Merrimack, N.H.)

Ottman won his third race of the season, prevailing at home in the Thomas Invitational 5K. The junior crossed the finish line in 16:08.9, besting the second place finisher by 43 seconds for the individual victory that led Thomas to the team win.

 

 

   

MEN'S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK 

 

Jarrod Hooper, Thomas College

(Fr. - Lyman, Maine)

Hooper finished fourth at the Thomas Invitational to help lead the Terriers to the low score and a team win. Hooper finished the 5k in 17:04.4 to lead all NAC rookies in the race.

   

WOMEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK

Lindsey Joliat, Husson

(Jr. - Brewer, Maine)

Husson women won their second invite of the season, capturing the Thomas Invitational with 23 points. Junior Lindsey Joliat set the pace for Husson, running the 5k in 20:34 for a second place individual finish.

 

 

   

WOMEN'S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Valentine Degiovanni, University of Maine-Presque Isle

(Fr. - Nice, France)

Degiovanni continues to lead the NAC, winning her third race of the year at the Thomas Invitational. The freshman completed the 5k race in 20:24.2 and led the Owls to a second place finish. Degiovanni has now been the top NAC runner in 5 out of 6 races on the season.
