Player of the Week

Lauren Plissey, Maine Maritime Academy

Lauren Plissey earned Brandeis University Judges Invitational MVP honors as she led the Mariners to a championship victory on opening weekend. The fifth-year post player shot .857 from the floor this past weekend for 31 points, in addition to 17 rebounds, three assists, one block, and one steal. Against NESCAC opponent Connecticut College, Plissey went 5-for-7 from the floor for a team-high 13 points, while adding seven rebounds, two assists, a block, and a steal. She followed up against tournament host Brandeis University out of the UAA in the championship game with a game-high 18 points, going a perfect 7-of-7 from the floor, and completing the double-double with 10 rebounds to go along with an assist.
 

Defensive Player of the Week

Bailey Donovan, Husson
Junior | Island Falls, Maine
Bailey Donovan tallied seven blocks and two steals over three games in Husson’s opening week, and hauled down a remarkable 25 defensive rebounds – fourth-most in the North Atlantic Conference after the first week of play. She had a high of nine defensive rebounds versus UMass-Dartmouth, with eight defensive boards against both New England College and St. Lawrence University. Donovan’s 2.3 blocks per game ranks second among NAC leaders.
 

Rookie of the Week

Emily Satterday, SUNY Cobleskill
First Year | Latham, New York
Center/forward Emily Satterday averaged 12.7 points and 15.3 rebounds over three games for SUNY Cobleskill with double-doubles in all three contests. She opened the week with 10 points and 10 rebounds in the Fighting Tigers’ loss to Union College (N.Y.), and came back with a 15-point, 15-rebound effort in Cobleskill’s opening game at the Plattsburgh State Cardinal Classic. Satterday closed out the week with 13 points and 21 rebounds versus SUNY Potsdam in the Cardinal Classic. For the week, Satterday also collected two blocks, two steals, and two assists, and was an impressive 16-of-30 (.533 pct.) from the field. The rookie is 11th among NAC leaders in scoring and second in rebounding.
