Maine Maritime Academy attackman Jayden Wilson was an integral piece of the Mariners’ offense in their 2-1 week, including two important NAC wins. The fifth-year senior totaled 12 goals, three assists, eight ground balls and caused two turnovers over the three-game week. Against NESCAC foe Bates College on Tuesday, Wilson scored a goal, scooped up two ground balls, and caused a turnover. In a big 12-11 NAC win against SUNY Delhi on Friday night, Wilson tallied three goals, including a man-up goal, and scooped up two ground balls. He finished off the week in a 24-6 win against SUNY Cobleskill, with a career and game-high eight goals, including a man-down goal and man-up goal, and three assists to reach 200 points in his career. The Lewiston, Maine, native also added four ground balls and a caused turnover in the game. Wilson became just the fourth player in MMA Men’s Lacrosse history to reach 200 points in his career.
Defensive Player of the Week
Elias Libby, Northern Vermont University-Lyndon

Northern Vermont-Lyndon’s Elias Libby nearly set two all-time NCAA Division III men's lacrosse single game records in the Hornets' NAC win over Cazenovia College. His 29 caused turnovers were the second-most ever behind only Shawn McDanel (La Roche College), who had 31 against Franciscan University in 2018. He also finished with 14 caused turnovers, second only to Nathan Batallas (Anna Maria College), who had 15 against Wheelock College in 2015. Elias also scored one goal, had two assists, and won 13 of 21 face-offs in the game. Elias also scored twice, recorded 11 ground balls, and had six caused turnovers in the Hornets' other contest this week against SUNY Poly.

Jacob Hintermaier, Maine Maritime Academy

Maine Maritime rookie Jacob Hintermaier was impressive once again in the Mariners 2-1 week. The first-year tallied seven goals and three assists, while scooping up four ground balls and causing five turnovers over the three games. In a tough non-conference matchup against NESCAC opponent Bates College on Tuesday, Hintermaier tallied a goal, scooped up three ground balls and caused a turnover. In an important NAC matchup against SUNY Delhi on Friday night, the attackman tallied a goal to help the Mariners to a 12-11 win. Against SUNY Cobleskill on Sunday, Hintermaier scored five goals, dished out three assists, scooped up a ground ball and caused four turnovers to help the Mariners to a 24-6 win.
