Swimmer of the Week

Kayla Payson, Husson University
Junior | Belfast, Maine
Kayla Payson set a trio of best-in-the-NAC individual marks in Husson meets over the past two weeks. She touched the wall in 1:05.82 to win the 100 Individual Medley in the Eagles’ 153-126 win over Colby-Sawyer, and took first-place in the 500 Freestyle in the same meet with a NAC-leading time of 5:36.32. Payson finished second in the 100 Butterfly with a NAC-best time of 1:02.22, breaking the Husson record in the event. Earlier in the week, Payson won the 100 Free, the 200 Free, and the 100 Fly in the Eagles’ 140-137 triumph over Eastern Connecticut State.
 

Diver of the Week

Riley Mahoney, Husson University
First Year | Oakham, Massachusetts
Riley Mahoney won the one-meter five-dive event with a score of 133.10, and also took first place in the six-dive event with a score of 191.45, as the Eagles defeated Eastern Connecticut State, 140-137, on Saturday, Nov. 12, in Bangor. She followed up with scores of 148.75 (five-dive) and 168.50 (six-dive) in the Eagles’ 152-126 “Senior Day” win over Colby-Sawyer College on November 19.
 

Rookie of the Week

Rayelle Brewer, Maine Maritime Academy
First Year | Cheyenne, Wyoming
Rayelle Brewer won the 50 Freestyle in Maine Maritime’s 163-96 loss to the University of New England, touching the wall in 26.03 to set a new pool record. Brewer also set a new pool and team record in the 500 Freestyle with a time of 5:37.24, and won the 100 Freestyle with a time of 57.18.
