Kayla Payson, Husson University
Junior | Belfast, Maine
Husson University junior Kayla Payson out-stroked the field in the 200-yard butterfly with a new school record and winning time of 2:19.20, in the Eagles’ triple-dual meet on January 21 with Norwich University and Plymouth State University in Plymouth, N.H. Payson also cruised to victory in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:33.11 to finish more than 24 seconds ahead of the field. Additionally, Payson was part of the winning 400-yard medley relay with a time of 4:32.06 and the 200-yard freestyle relay with a mark of 1:51.23.

Husson University sophomore Shelby Peterson won the one-meter board with a six-dive score of 193.05 against Plymouth State and Norwich, in a triple-dual scored meet on January 21 in Plymouth, N.H.
 

Rookie of the Week

Rayelle Brewer, Maine Maritime Academy
First Year | Cheyenne, Wyoming
Maine Maritime Academy’s Rayelle Brewer helped lead the Mariners to a 107-85 victory over St. Joseph’s College (Maine). Brewer set a team and pool record in the 100-yard butterfly with a first-place finish of 1:03.52 and finished first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.84. She was also part of a relay team that finished first in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:51.40.
