Stebbins adds the NAC’s Senior Scholar Athlete award in baseball to his already impressive collegiate resume. He is a four-year member of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) and he has served as treasurer and secretary for the SAAC. Stebbins is a member of Alpha Chi and has maintained a 3.96 grade points average in Thomas’ 3 + 1 program (program for completing an undergraduate program and Master’s degree in four years). He is a four-time selection to the NAC All-Academic Team, earning Thomas College President's List distinction (3.80-4.00 GPA) in every semester as an undergraduate student. Stebbins serves as one of the baseball team’s Academic Captains, which was put into place in the spring of 2023, and monitors a team of six players to ensure that they are meeting academic expectations and reports weekly on his team’s progress.
Straub, who was named the Fighting Tigers’ interim head coach for 2022-23 on August 24, 2022, guided SUNY Cobleskill to the top overall seed in the 2023 NAC Baseball Tournament and a runner-up tournament finish. The Fighting Tigers posted a 22-15 overall record in 2023, setting a new program single-season wins record, to go with a 13-2 conference record that marks the most NAC wins for Cobleskill since it joined the conference.
In addition to the top conference awards,
22 student-athletes were named to the All-Conference teams, and nine were named to the NAC Baseball Sportsmanship Team. The Sportsmanship Team is reserved for those who distinguish themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior.
